Creative Strategist Copywriter | Aspire Digital | South Africa
Aspire Digital, a fast-growing digital marketing agency, is seeking a Creative Strategist & Copywriter to join our team. This role focuses on crafting compelling creative briefs, producing audience-focused ad copy, and conducting thorough client and competitor research to support high-performing ad campaigns. Key Responsibilities
1) Creative Brief Development
- Collaborate with Account Managers to collect client insights, campaign goals, and audience data.
- Develop thorough, actionable creative briefs that provide clear direction for designers, video editors, and other team members.
- Brainstorm and outline hooks, messaging angles, and storytelling concepts for campaigns.
2) Ad Copywriting
- Write persuasive and engaging ad copy tailored to client objectives and platform-specific requirements (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google).
- Craft multiple variations of headlines, hooks, and CTAs to support A/B testing and drive conversions.
- Ensure all written content aligns with the client’s brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
3) Research
- Conduct in-depth client and competitor research to understand industry trends, audience behaviors, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop detailed research documents highlighting insights to inform creative strategies.
- Refine creative briefs and copy based on data-driven recommendations and client feedback.
4) Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the creative and account management teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment across campaigns.
- Join client meetings as needed to gather input, present creative ideas, and refine outputs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 3+ years in a creative strategy, copywriting, or research-focused role within a marketing or advertising agency.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality creative briefs and ad copy that drives campaign success.
Core Skills
- Exceptional research, writing, and editing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong ability to translate client goals and data insights into actionable creative strategies.
- Proficiency in simplifying complex ideas into clear, compelling messages.
Collaboration & Soft Skills
- Highly creative and innovative thinker with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal teams and clients.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp.
- Knowledge of psychology-based copywriting techniques and storytelling.
- Experience conducting competitor analysis and market research.
Key Performance Metrics
- Quality and clarity of creative briefs.
- Client satisfaction with creative outputs and ad copy.
- Timeliness in delivering high-quality briefs, copy, and research documents.
