Key Responsibilities
As a Computer Science Curriculum Developer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing Engaging Educational Materials: Create courses, lesson plans, coding challenges, projects, assessments, and solution guides suitable for both virtual and in-person learning environments.
- Collaborating with Team Members: Review and provide constructive feedback on materials created by colleagues and incorporate valuable insights into your work.
- Enhancing Current Curriculum: Revise and improve existing educational resources based on student and teacher feedback, as well as performance analytics.
- Teaching and Mentoring: Engage with students through online or in-person instruction, sharing your expertise to spark curiosity and innovation.
- Strategic Curriculum Planning: Work alongside leadership to brainstorm and formulate new curriculum materials that resonate with students.
- Staying Informed: Conduct research on the latest developments in computer science and education to ensure our curriculum remains cutting-edge and relevant.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Proven Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience in teaching computer science, particularly to high school or advanced middle school students.
- Curriculum Development Expertise: Strong track record in developing computer science curricula, especially in areas extending beyond traditional data structures.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and various programming paradigms (object-oriented, functional, scripting).
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional writing ability to create clear, engaging, and precise educational content.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is required.
- Experience in teaching computer science, preferably at the middle or high school level, along with proven curriculum development experience.

Compensation And Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from (85,000 to )102,500, with an additional 4% year-end bonus. Senior-level candidates may earn between (102,500 and )130,000.
- This role is primarily remote, with the option of being based in San Diego.
