Key Responsibilities

As a Computer Science Curriculum Developer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Engaging Educational Materials: Create courses, lesson plans, coding challenges, projects, assessments, and solution guides suitable for both virtual and in-person learning environments.
  • Collaborating with Team Members: Review and provide constructive feedback on materials created by colleagues and incorporate valuable insights into your work.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proven Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience in teaching computer science, particularly to high school or advanced middle school students.
  • Curriculum Development Expertise: Strong track record in developing computer science curricula, especially in areas extending beyond traditional data structures.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and various programming paradigms (object-oriented, functional, scripting).
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional writing ability to create clear, engaging, and precise educational content.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in teaching computer science, preferably at the middle or high school level, along with proven curriculum development experience.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from (85,000 to )102,500, with an additional 4% year-end bonus. Senior-level candidates may earn between (102,500 and )130,000.
  • This role is primarily remote, with the option of being based in San Diego.
