TeachTown is the leading provider of education solutions for students diagnosed with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, and speech/language impairments. We are seeking a Curriculum Graphic Designer to join our growing Curriculum Team. This role will be responsible for creating and designing various print and digital materials, ensuring proper format on all published and printed materials, and maintaining files and a shared icon library.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and design various print and digital materials – this includes but is not limited to:
- Creating unique front covers for Pre-K Concept and Story Books by selecting fonts,, complementary colors, and text placement when given a cover image
- Creating covers for workbooks using printer-specified spine widths
- Utilize InDesign’s Liquid Layout functionality for worksheets, resource guides, teacher guides/lesson plans, and other curricula materials and create Press, Hirez, and/or Web files
- Design and create templates within InDesign for Liquid Layout use based on lesson plan structure provided by curriculum developers
- Ensure all published and printed curricula materials are properly formatted – this includes and is not limited to font sizes and styles, page orientation, paragraph styles and formatting, adjusting and editing graphics, fixing missing links, utilizing shape tools, adjusting columns, automatic page numbers, autoflow, inserting/deleting/pages, etc.
- Support design projects by preparing rough drafts and advising best practices and optimizations throughout the project
- Revise drafted designs after feedback has been received; accurately incorporate feedback
- Maintain files and make edits/corrections to all versions (Press, Web, Hirez as needed)
- Press files should include page bleeds and crop marks as applicable based on printer parameters and requested file specifications
- Respond to printer feedback by updating/modifying print files when applicable
- Create wordmarks, including logos and icons, for new products and/or extensions of current products
- Find icons to be used throughout enCORE K-12 content and maintain an icon library (sharing with Art Team)
- Manage multiple projects within design specifications and deadlines
- Ensure projects are completed and delivered in a timely manner with quality end results
- Partner with the Curriculum Development team to design products that support customer needs (considering XML versions for students with visual impairments, etc.)
- Pour additional content in InDesign, as needed
Required Education and Experience:
- At least 3+ years of graphic design experience (print & digital) in either a freelance or full-time role for an ed tech or education publishing company
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Adobe Suite (including but not limited to Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), QuarkXPress, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Portfolio of work with a wide range of graphic design projects
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills
