Job Title: Account Executive
Job role: Account Executive for boat / yacht insurance account, working on the New Business team.
Main Duties
- Review applications and send quotes for a range of sailing vessels.
- Answer telephone calls and deal courteously with all callers, routing them as appropriate or taking messages and emailing to the relevant person. Referring clients to the website and answering queries where possible.
- Provide assistance to our customers via phone or email, including answering questions, clarifying coverage and processing mid-term adjustments or cancellations.
- Follow up on boat quotes that have been sent and keep on top of clients who express an interest in proceeding at a later date, obtaining any further information that may be required and finalising terms.
- Take detailed vessel enquiries over the phone if requested and provide a timely quotation.
- Provide support to the travel insurance team as and when required.
- Assisting with ongoing projects, information obtaining and report providing.
- Take payments ensuring data protection is paramount at all times and that payments are taken immediately as per data protection procedures.
- Ensure that customer records are kept up to date when customers call with information pertinent to their insurance and handle any mid-term adjustments, ensuring that additional premiums are paid and systems are updated accordingly.
- Generate sales by prospecting, being informative and pro-actively selling on the phone. Forward application forms where necessary and update systems once forms received.
- Maintain secure, efficient and accurate filing systems and email management. Provide efficient, error free typing and administration support as directed. Send any emails using the relevant templates, editing where required.
- Produce and maintain diaries, chasing for outstanding information from insurers and brokers for efficient policy handling.
- Ensure the delivery of high quality service, appropriate to customer needs.
- Ensure that all correspondence is saved to the system for ease of understanding when handing over and auditing, including detailed phone notes.
