What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and correspondence related to customer inquiries and concerns
• Research payment issues and identify solutions for contract provider payments
• Enter new enrollees and authorization referrals for hospitals and nursing homes
• Update participant demographics and insurance information
• Perform various administrative tasks, including sending and receiving correspondence and data entry

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Must pass a criminal background check as per Department of Human Services (DHS) requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing high-volume customer service calls in a healthcare setting
• Experience with referral entry and handling billing and payment inquiries

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care, Customer Service, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• Familiarity with computerized spreadsheet applications and managed care payment systems
• Experience with software such as Epic, QuickBooks Pro, or other business accounting tools
• Proficiency in MS Office products
