What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Efficiently handle inbound calls from guarantors regarding their physician billing statements in a professional manner
  • Meet or exceed established performance targets for productivity and quality set by the Collections Manager
  • Review account history to understand the impact of questions or complaints, ensuring all past account history is updated
  • Follow company policy for call handling and document interactions in the Practice Management System for consistency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary information and resolve customer issues effectively

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare billing, health insurance, or equivalent operations work environment
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Proficiency in using Practice Management Systems for documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and demonstrate effective communication skills

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Technical school or 2 years of college/associates degree preferred
  • Experience with physician billing and understanding of healthcare regulations
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and quality assurance processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze customer complaints
  • Previous experience in a similar customer service role within the healthcare sector
