D Designer (Remote)

Job purpose

Designer is responsible for the creation and management of design artwork files with a focus on 3D assets for Maxim Global brand.   This position requires solid communication skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, a willingness to perform repetitive tasks when required and the ability to perform well under time pressure. The Designer identifies, interprets, concepts ­and executes high quality graphic artwork files, schematics and 3D assets for customer review.  

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the creation and management of artwork files across multiple product types with varying requirements by account and licensees.
• Process a range of artwork types including line art, tech sheet, spec sheet, production mechanicals, graphics, die-lines, and schematics.
• 3D Modeling/Design: Develop highly detailed and accurate 3D models of objects, spaces, or products based on specific requirements or design concepts.
• Rendering: Utilize industry-standard software, along with proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, to produce photorealistic renderings.
• Visualization: Translate product designs, or layouts into captivating visual representations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners, including clients, Sales and Key Account Management teams, to understand project needs and ensure designs meet expectations.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality in all 3D renderings and designs, with careful attention to detail and accuracy. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Collaborates with Creative and Marketing Global team to ensure consistency in Maxim branding and messaging standards across all design assets executed.
• Organizes and maintains electronic artwork files and project folder assets on Share Drive for visibility and access to team members.
• Attendance in account meetings externally as needed as well as internal meetings with assorted Maxim departments, predominately in Sales and Key Account Management.
• Maintains product catalog content and visuals for accounts updating with new product launches and specifications.
• Collaborates with team members to ensure that deadlines are met according to schedule.
• Performs other duties (graphics or creative) as needed.
• Works with existing templates and creates new standardized templates as required by account and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.  
•  3D workflow experience.
• Competent in use of MS Office Products and Mac OSX software.
• Experienced Design background with keen eye on typography, color, and layout design.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience required.
• Above average levels of English reading comprehension, speaking, and writing; active listening; critical thinking; organization, attention to detail; technical accuracy and originality.
• Ability to effectively prepare and present information to multiple stakeholders at varying levels within the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading skills a must.
• Ability to work in a complex Global organization satisfying the needs of diverse constituents with competing deadlines and priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to develop highly productive relationships with individuals and teams that are made up of varied disciplines and cultural backgrounds resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
• Proactive desire to own and drive projects forward through measurable process, planning and team engagement in a very fast paced environment.

Working conditions/travel

Designer is a remote working position.  Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed <10% of the time.

Hours

Designer is a salaried Full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week. Occasional evening meetings required with global locations.
