Data Engineer (Remote)

We focus on safety, value, and quality as well as building and maintaining lasting relationships with a variety of national clients in renewables, data centers, oil and gas, food and beverage, manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields. Quickly moving into other industries, we are a fast-paced and agile company looking for a best-in-class Data Engineer willing to roll up their sleeves and translate complex data into actionable insights.

What You Will Do…

• Make key decisions to balance business needs and technical limitations of our data model – we trust our experts
• Create data models, dashboards, and reports, as well as guiding data analysis efforts to extract actionable insights
• Develop and implement iPaaS, point-to-point, and API-first connections between accounting softwares, Salesforce CRM, and project management software
• Review the work of other team members.
• Collaborate with company stakeholders and outside consultants to integrate new data sources and ensure data integrity
• Train team members on their dashboards
• Provide ad-hoc analysis
• Automate regular reporting processes to reduce manual effort
• Work closely with the VP for Preconstruction and Purchasing and other company leaders to build robust reporting to track our varied teams of electricians, engineers, technicians, and project managers on established KPIs.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Communicate with supervisors, peers, subordinates, or customers to provide/receive information by telephone, two-way radio, in written form, in person or by email.

What You Will Need To Succeed…

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or Data Engineering role
• Strong experience with data warehousing and modeling
• Knowledge of ETL processes to ensure accuracy
• Power BI experience
• Understanding of the construction industry and/or lean project management principles a plus
