US based Big Data Tech Solutions Provider. is Looking for:

Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data is easily accessible and actionable for business teams. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to support data integration and transformation efforts, leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery, Data Composer, and Data Flow.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL with a deep understanding of relational databases and data warehousing. Expert-level experience in writing complex, optimized queries.
• Python Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Python, including working with data-related libraries such as pandas, numpy, and others. Ability to use Python in the context of data engineering (e.g., automation, ETL processes, integration).
• GCP Experience: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform tools, particularly BigQuery, Data Composer, and Data Flow, for building data pipelines and managing large datasets.
• Data Modeling & ETL: Solid understanding of data modeling principles and ETL processes. Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, especially in data processing and pipeline management.
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in cloud-native data environments and familiarity with other GCP services (e.g., Pub/Sub, Data Lake, Cloud Storage).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) or other BI platforms is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps practices for deploying and managing data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Expertise: Develop complex SQL queries, manage large datasets, and optimize queries for performance on databases and data warehouses (primarily using BigQuery).
• Data Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and enhance scalable data pipelines to process and transform data from diverse sources.
• GCP Infrastructure: Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools, specifically BigQuery, Data Composer, and Data Flow, to support data integration, ETL processes, and analytics.
• Python Scripting: Implement Python scripts to automate data workflows, support data processing, and enhance data quality. (Note: This is not a Python Developer role, but Python skills are required for data tasks.)
• Data Quality & Validation: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data, identifying and troubleshooting issues in data workflows and pipelines.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Intelligence Engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Document data processes, pipelines, and workflows for future reference.

Direct-contract with client where client will do wire transfer
