Jon Description:

Our client is looking for a data professional with a combination of business acumen and technical insight to maximize the value of our clients’ data assets. You will understand the business problem, align stakeholders on your vision, develop a technical strategy, and oversee the implementation of critical data products that drive our clients’ organization

Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains a vision and plan for data assets and oversees the execution of that plan to maximize the value of the data to the organization.

Knows how to identify key client initiatives, refine and manage stakeholders as it relates to the larger project

Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats

Ability to conduct an enterprise analysis of tools and processes while building relationships with various levels of a client organization to help develop and drive a clear vision

Understands business strategy as it relates to technologies used within client engagements

Can conduct market analyses for tools and functionality available in the marketplace.

Understanding product releases as it relates to requirements and deadlines

Designs and defines new technical programs and requirements

Improves systems and processes by studying current practices; designing modifications, recommending controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

Qualifications:

Background in Data analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering

Strong written documentation skills

Strong verbal and client facing communication skills

A critical thinker with a consultative mindset

Strong understanding of the data industry as a whole, including tools, best practices, and functionality

Experience across 2 or more of the following technologies:

ETL processes, Analytics, Integrations with large SaaS providers

Proficient in one of the following coding languages (SQL, Python, Javascript/NodeJS)

Experience with (cloud and on prem) Database Designs & Administration

Biggest things:

Ability to operate without a ton of direction

Client facing must be very prepared for intense / high level client meetings and leading these meetings

Taking requirements, creating user stories and working with dev teams to build the data product

3 months to start, very likely going to 6+ months
