Data Warehouse Owner Engineer (Remote)

What would your role be?

• Take responsibility for parts of the Risk Control Data Warehouse in terms of the integration of peripheral systems (trading, collateral, core banking system, customer master data, margins, ratings, instrument master data).

• Close cooperation with the specialist department to answer questions and incorporate new requirements within the framework of our agile approach (SCRUM).

• Facilitate interaction between the specialist department, the IT basic infrastructure (database, application server etc.) and external software suppliers.

• Monitor and maintain data warehouse performance, optimizing for speed and storage efficiency.

• Propose and implement improvements to data warehouse architecture, processes, and technologies.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of development experience with databases and scripting languages.

• Previous experience with DBT or willingness to learn Snowflake or has (would be a plus).

• Previous experience or willingness to learn Snowflake or has (would be a plus).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Very good communication skills both in English (mandatory) and German (highly desirable).

• Eager to learn with the support of the team.
