As a Database Engineer with PostgreSQL expertise, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting our PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, availability, and stability. You’ll collaborate with application teams to enhance database interactions, monitor system health, and implement recovery strategies during critical incidents.

You will be working on:

• 
  CSGORoll — the world’s #1 skin gaming site. A community social gaming platform specifically designed for CS2 players, featuring unique in-house custom-built games, such as Roulette, Crash, Unboxing, and PVP.

• 
  HypeDrop — a leading gamified shopping platform, where over 500,000 users experience the excitement of real-time mystery box openings, box battles, and customizable deals. Since 2018, HypeDrop has sold over 150 million boxes, revolutionizing the way people shop and win.

You will:

• Optimize PostgreSQL databases to improve performance and stability.

• Monitor database clusters, addressing performance issues and system recovery during high-load situations.

• Analyze logs and diagnose issues related to database performance and system instability.

• Advise application teams on database architecture, ensuring best practices and scalability.

• Implement disaster recovery strategies, minimizing downtime and data loss.

• Collaborate with developers to optimize database interactions for system performance.

You will excel in this role if you possess:

• Expertise in PostgreSQL administration, particularly in high-load environments.

• Strong skills in query optimization, database contention issues, and locking mechanisms.

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions, particularly AlloyDB.

• Ability to perform manual interventions during high-pressure incidents.

• Deep understanding of database maintenance, including indexing, vacuuming, and backups.
