As a Database Storage Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation, working hands-on with our cutting-edge parallel storage solution. You will design and implement advanced algorithms, collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage functionality, and stay abreast of the latest industry developments. Your expertise in C++, parallel storage technologies, and cloud platforms will be crucial in advancing our storage solutions to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Further develop our massively parallel storage solution, ensuring it scales effectively to meet ever-growing data demands while maintaining peak efficiency.
- Design and implement intricate algorithms that optimize data management, storage, and retrieval processes, ensuring consistent high performance.
- Partner closely with other development teams to guarantee the smooth integration of storage-related functionalities, creating a unified and powerful system.
- Leverage your experience of parallel storage technologies to provide valuable insights and drive innovation in our storage solution.
- Stay informed on storage technology advancements, continuously learning and exploring new approaches to enhance our solutions.
- Rigorously test, debug, and refine the codebase to ensure maximum stability and reliability of our storage solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in software development, with a focus on storage systems, including experience in building robust, complex software products within a Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) environment.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ programming with a focus on performance optimization.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash and Python for automation and streamlining tasks.
- Solid understanding of Linux environments.
- Knowledge of parallel storage technologies like HDFS, GlusterFS, Ceph, and RAID algorithms.
- Familiarity with public cloud storage solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Proven expertise in creating efficient and distributed algorithms.
- An analytical and structured approach to problem-solving, coupled with a commitment to high-quality code.
- Approach challenges with a methodical and logical mindset.
- Maintain a strong focus on delivering high-quality code and solutions.
- Working proficiency in English.
