Are you passionate about supply chain management and seeking a role that combines strategic insight with practical planning? This opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain operations while working remotely from anywhere in California.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Order Management**: Schedule, allocate, and approve sales orders to ensure timely delivery and maintain customer satisfaction.
- **Supply Coordination**: Review the supply pipeline to adjust customer ship dates and manage order resolutions, including revisions, cancellations, and expedited requests.
- **Stock Movement**: Facilitate direct stock transfers between inventory locations to support allocation needs.
- **Logistics Collaboration**: Partner with Logistics and Customer Service teams to handle carrier changes and investigate shipping issues.
- **Material Recommendations**: Suggest substitute materials for out-of-stock items and generate internal sales orders to assist various departments.
- **Forecasting & Planning**: Balance demand and supply across multiple product categories, developing and executing supply plans while conducting global inventory analysis.
- **Inventory Optimization**: Analyze stock status and demand run rates to optimize inventory levels, considering inventory turns, product availability, and freight costs.
- **Raw Material Management**: Coordinate raw material transfers between manufacturing facilities to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- **Purchase Execution**: Align purchases with the demand plan, follow up with suppliers, and adjust production schedules as necessary.
- **Additional Support**: Offer assistance with other supply chain functions, including KPI maintenance, new product introductions, special customer requests, automation projects, and ad-hoc analyses.
**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: A minimum of 5 years in supply chain and order management.
- **Education**: A BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
- **Technical Skills**: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, experience with MRP/ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), and familiarity with PowerPoint and Word.
- **Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- **Adaptability**: An ability to swiftly adapt to changing circumstances, work under pressure, and manage shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
- **Collaboration**: Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a remote position available for candidates based in California, with limited travel required.
