Project Manager (Retail Re-fits) – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract 

Blooms Management Services (BMS) provides support and partnership to over 100 successful Blooms The Chemist pharmacies. Our Pharmacists and team members have been delivering friendly expert advice and professional service to our communities for over 40 years.

The Role
As the Project Manager you will coordinate the re-fits of all existing and newly acquired Blooms The Chemist stores nationally. You will ensure all plans and budgets are signed off and the re-fit stays on track and within budget throughout the process. 

In this role you will liaise with Third Party Suppliers to ensure accurate and effective re-fits. You will serve as the central point of coordination ensuring design, construction, and all trades meet business objectives.

Ideally, the successful candidate will also be able to or be keen to learn how to produce technical drawings and floor plans for store fit outs and upgrades. This role could suit a Design graduate wanting to gain experience in retail fit outs and upgrades. 

  
Key Responsibilities:

• Work with suppliers to design new store layouts that match the Blooms brand.
• Create project plans, budgets, and schedules for approval.
• Spot potential risks early and address them to avoid delays, extra costs, or quality problems.
• Source quotes for materials and services, focusing on cost and quality.
• Build good relationships with contractors and clearly communicate project goals.
• Ensure contractors stick to timelines, budgets, and safety rules.
• Check construction and refurbishment work meets safety and building standards.
• Produce detailed technical drawings, floor plans, and specifications for new store fit outs and store upgrades in accordance with state and regulatory requirements.
• Visit sites to track progress, solve issues, and ensure quality meets expectations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the management of re-fits and refurbishment.
• Understanding and proven ability of project management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills as well as attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience as a draftsperson or CAD technician.
