Title: Design Manager
Location: East Sussex
Salary: £50-60,000 + car allowance or company car + bonus + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Design Manager to join an experienced team responsible for delivering a large portfolio of highways projects across East Sussex.
The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing all design work on a major long term seven-year contract. They will lead the design programme, collaborating with project managers, contracts managers, and designers to ensure seamless delivery.
Duties
Lead the design programme, collaborating with project managers, team leads, and designers to ensure seamless delivery.
Ensure designs comply with the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 and meet industry standards.
Review design outputs to mitigate liability risks while ensuring they are fit for purpose.
Assess and approve fee proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Drive adherence to client agreements and KPIs, achieving financial targets and ensuring profitability.
Build and manage key relationships with stakeholders, addressing challenges swiftly and effectively.
Candidate
Extensive design management experience in highways design and civil engineering.
Strong people management skills with a proven track record of driving team performance.
Confident communicator and influencer, comfortable working within cross-functional teams.
Fully PC literate (Word, Excel) with a valid UK driving license.
Offer
Starting salary of £50-60,000 per annum
