Key Responsibilities
- Research and manage foundation, corporate, and government grants to identify potential funding sources.
- Maintain a comprehensive database and calendar to ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Oversee the drafting and submission of grant requests and prepare progress reports for funders.
- Administer fundraising systems and donor databases, tracking donations and acknowledgments.
- Develop data-informed prospect and email lists to support fundraising appeals and donor cultivation activities.
- Manage key programmatic and fundraising events, coordinating 6-10 initiatives aligned with various campaigns and fundraising goals.
- Undertake administrative tasks, including generating reports for the board and managing internal documents.
Required Skills
- Strong institutional fundraising expertise.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly.
- Proficient in project management, including timeline and budget oversight.
- Competency with fundraising and project management tools, ideally Microsoft Suite, Asana, Qgiv, and/or Bloomerang.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in fundraising, project management, and event planning.
- Work, academic, or volunteer experience in environmental issues is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive under demanding deadlines while juggling diverse projects.

Compensation And Benefits
- Salary: (73,000 – )78,000, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time, exempt position reporting to the Associate Director.
- Benefits include paid health, vision, and dental insurance; 403(b) retirement plan with company match; a hybrid work model (remote and in-office); and a generous paid time off policy with 13 observed holidays and a winter break from December 25 to January 1.
