In our DSA team of the Agile Release Train, “Hybrid Connectivity Services,” is responsible for operating and developing Swisscom’s firewall and security platform within their data centers. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing new technologies at the heart of the Swisscom network. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Swisscom can continue to operate secure network platforms for their customers. You will contribute to the transformation of our hybrid infrastructure. Your expertise and structured approach will help deliver high-quality solutions within the Swisscom environment, meeting deadlines.
Operation and development of the security network platform and internet traffic security infrastructure using state-of-the-art technologies
Development and integration of new security technologies, further automation of the platform
Opportunity for independent and team-oriented work in an agile organization with remote work and work at different locations

Your skills
IT degree (Uni/ETH) or equivalent experience
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in network security
Several years of experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS and security monitoring
Experience with automation (e.g., through REST API, Ansible), scripting (Python), Linux OS management and in-depth knowledge of network technology (TCP/IP and dynamic routing, preferably BGP)

Ability to handle stress and willingness to be on-call regularly
Fluent in German and English
Ability to remain calm and work independently
