Project description:
We are developing a next-generation content-sharing platform designed to handle high-performance media processing and secure content distribution. The platform will provide seamless media uploads, real-time processing, and delivery across web and mobile devices, with a focus on scalability and data security.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Proficiency in working with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS, EKS, etc.).
- Experience in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with cloud security best practices, including encryption, IAM roles, and firewall management.
- Solid understanding of networking principles (DNS, VPN, VPC, Load Balancers) and managing cloud network configurations.
- Experience in configuring monitoring and alerting systems like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or New Relic.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or Go for automating repetitive tasks and improving infrastructure efficiency.
- Knowledge of database management and optimization, including experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Experience deploying and scaling media-intensive applications with real-time processing, high storage demands, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of CDNs (AWS CloudFront) and caching mechanisms to optimize content delivery for media files.
- Understanding of media file storage optimization (compression, chunking) and secure data management in cloud environments.
- Ability to manage and scale microservices with a focus on handling large media files (video, images) and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs.
- Familiarity with handling distributed databases and ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure for the platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of applications across environments.
- Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring smooth deployment and scaling of microservices.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of backend and frontend services in a microservices architecture.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices for authentication, encryption, and data protection.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with engineers to maintain and enhance the DevOps culture, driving automation, testing, and continuous improvement in all processes.
- Implement and manage logging and monitoring systems to ensure high availability and proactive issue resolution.
- Manage databases and storage solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and proper backup strategies.
