Project Description:

Luxoft’s client, a global commodity trader, are embarking on a significant risk application modernization programme, streamlining their architecture, remediating legacy infrastructure issues and providing a new scalable platform for business growth.

We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative cloud technologies, streamline CI/CD processes, and drive automation across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

– Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure using best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

– Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, Kops, or other Kubernetes distributions) for deployment and scaling of containerized applications.

– Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

– Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth code deployments across multiple environments.

– Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and availability of services.

– Implement and maintain cloud security practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and network configurations.

– Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment with DevOps processes and tools.

– Continuously improve and optimize cloud architecture, deployment strategies, and DevOps workflows.

– Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures to ensure operational excellence

Mandatory Skills Description:

– 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

– Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.).

– Experience managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, Kops, or other Kubernetes distributions).

– Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

– Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.

– Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.

– Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.

– Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

– Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.

– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

– Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have:

– AWS Certification (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).

– Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).

– Knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).

– Experience with serverless architectures and frameworks.
