Position Overview

7Steps AI is seeking a motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in cybersecurity practices to join our team.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be maintaining and improving our infrastructure, while focusing on security and automation. AWS DevOps will provide consultancy and architecture support for any application migration to AWS cloud – Migrate on-premise applications to target cloud (public/private).

This is a contract-to- hire role.

Key Responsibilities

· Deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure.

· Implement security measures across the DevOps pipeline.

· Automate processes and enhance system reliability based upon extensive previous experience.

· Monitor and maintain access and security of infrastructure.

· Support InfoSec scans and compliance audits.

· Experience or knowledge of working in a regulated environment (SOC-II, HIPAA, ISO 27001 etc.) Subject to compliance controls.

· Engineer solutions using AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, EFS).

· Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

· Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for system performance, capacity, efficiency, and reliability and recommend enhancements to better meet client SLAs and standards.

· Anticipate, identify, mitigate, and resolve issues relating to client-facing infrastructure.

· Develop, coach, and mentor project teams on SDLC, CI, and CD practices with a view to creating DevOps champions.

· Resolve AWS tickets related to VPC, IAM, and CLI; will be using these tools daily.

· Create and enforce policies related to AWS usage including sample tagging, instance type usage, data storage

· Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for system performance, capacity, efficiency, and reliability and recommend enhancements to better meet client SLAs and standards.

· Deploy and decommission client environments for multi and single tenant hosted applications following and updating as needed established processes and procedures

Requirements

· 7+ years of IT Operations, Cloud Services and/or Cybersecurity experience.

· Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).

· Extensive knowledge and experience in building and managing infrastructure on Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.

· Experience maintaining ISO 27001 and/or SOC-II compliance (or equivalent security standard).

· Strong understanding of best cybersecurity practices in cloud environments.

· Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools and platforms like Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins and/or Docker etc.

· Must have working knowledge with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Perl or Ruby languages

· Application deployment and data migration experience on AWS or Azure

· Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra).

· Network Administration and concepts (NAT, Proxy, TCP/IP).

· Deploying large scale Enterprise-grade applications and services.

· Strong experience working in a support/triage function within a complex organization.

· Maintain 99.99% availability of the web and integration services.

· Good understanding of agile-based product development and respective delivery.

· Good working knowledge of Configuration Management methodologies, principles, practices, tools, and deployment methodologies.

· Authorization to work in Canada and availability in the Greater Toronto Area, as this is an on-premises opportunity.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering (or related experience)

· 7+ years of experience in IT Operations, Cloud Services and/or Cybersecurity
