The Role

As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the resilience and security of our Salesforce-based applications. You will lead the automation of deployment and monitoring processes, contribute to the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with the Chief Architect and CTO to align technical direction with strategic goals. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, enabling the delivery of high-performing, scalable infrastructure.

What You Will Do

• Architect, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate for Salesforce development, testing, and production environments.
• Release Management: Oversee and manage the entire Salesforce release process using Copado CI/CD, from planning through to deployment.
• Branching Strategy: Design and implement effective branching strategies to manage parallel development, feature releases, and hotfixes.
• Deployment Automation: Ensure efficient, reliable, and automated deployments across different environments with a focus on minimizing downtime and failures.
• Version Control: Maintain version control across various environments and ensure traceability of all releases.
• Environment Management: Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to manage Salesforce sandboxes and production environments.
• Establish and enforce DevOps best practices for continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure proper testing processes are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks in the release cycle and proactively resolve issues before they impact the production environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the release process, pipelines, and branching strategies for knowledge transfer and team alignment.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring processes and provide regular updates on release performance, deployment metrics, and pipeline efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Salesforce release management or DevOps roles, with hands-on expertise using Copado along with other CI/CD tools.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Copado is a must.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce development processes, metadata management, and deployment strategies.
• Proven experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically for Salesforce environments.
• Proficiency in Git and experience in implementing branching strategies.
• Experience in automating deployment processes and creating robust, scalable pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and proactive issue resolution.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of AWS code commit and managing AWS pipeline is a plus.
• Certifications or relevant training in cloud computing or DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end security best practices.
• Familiarity with Salesforce integration and deployment strategies.
• Experience in managing pipelines for Appexchange products.
• Experience with AI tools for optimizing infrastructure management and operational workflows.
