About the Role
We’re on the search for a Digital Content Manager with an outstanding command of the English language to join our young, dynamic and creative marketing team! This role would be perfectly suited to someone who has a passion for writing with 5+ years’ experience in creating engaging long-form blog copy, website content, campaign messaging, and email marketing.
As the Digital Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all online content and developing the written content that appears within Travala.com’s emails, website, blog, and socials. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll be working closely with the marketing manager and collaborating with the wider marketing team, and have support from the internal design team for the creation of visual assets.
This role acts as communication and brand custodian in relation to copy and content and is responsible for owning the creation, execution and performance of a multi-channel content strategy that increases brand awareness among consumer audiences, grows market share, and exceeds sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and own a multi-channel content strategy, including content planning and ideation, writing, editing and reporting
- Working closely with the CMO and wider marketing team, as well as external agencies, to implement the content strategy through owned and earned channels
- Writing, reviewing and contributing ideas for campaign and partnership content, messaging, concepts, briefs and strategy across emails, website, blog, and social media channels
- Preparation, ideation and review of email content and working with internal teams to send emails via Salesforce
- Project management for new initiatives and campaigns, including content planning and development in collaboration with the Marketing and Design teams
- Writing and publishing long-form articles about travel and crypto topics on our WordPress blog in accordance with SEO best practices
- Writing, reviewing and publishing articles and company announcements via the website, blog, emails, social media and PR channels
- Reviewing and contributing ideas to the messaging of organic and paid social media content across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram in conjunction with internal stakeholders
- Developing and updating proposals and marketing collateral for advertising campaigns and partnerships
- Writing and reviewing copy across online channels including website and mobile app
- Craft compelling online and offline communications aligned with brand strategy and business objectives
- Implement SEO best practices and optimise content for maximum performance
- Utilising data to analyse performance of all content, driving improvements through data-driven insights, and refining multi-channel content strategy for optimal results
- Proofreading and editing of all marketing communications
- Writing and publishing monthly and quarterly reports
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in content creation
- Outstanding written and verbal communication in English; strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent fact-checking skills
- Previous experience in developing exceptional communication strategies and writing for different marketing channels including email, website, blog, and social media
- Extremely well-organised with strong project-management skills; demonstrated experience in working within fast-paced environments whilst managing multiple projects and campaigns with competing priorities
- Experience with content marketing systems including Salesforce, WordPress, and social media platforms is important
- Basic graphic design skills with platforms such as Canva and Figma, and strong presentation skills are beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, PR or Journalism is advantageous
- Experience in the tourism or crypto industry is preferred
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with staff across different levels
