You have experience leading small teams, supporting sales, and overseeing internal and external communications with a focus on storytelling and brand oversight. Managing the full marketing and communications spectrum, with a track record of partnering closely with sales teams – you’re highly skilled at everything you do.
We’re thrilled to partner with our client, Elim Village, in their search for a Director of Marketing and Communications. In this position, you will lead marketing, communications and sales teams. This includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing all marketing, brand and internal/external communications, including the website, social media platforms, newsletter, and public relations.

Elim Village operates two exceptional aging-in-place communities for older adults. Their retirement villages are located in Surrey and Chilliwack, B.C., where over 1,000 seniors call Elim Village ‘home’. About The Workplace
This is a full-time role that requires working weekly from both the Surrey and Chilliwack campuses, with some flexibility to work from home.
About The Role
- Provide strategic oversight to the marketing, communications, brand and sales teams.
- Develop effective strategies to establish, promote and maintain Elim’s brand and image within the Senior Living space
- Lead, create, implement and evaluate the school’s strategic and tactical communications
- Design and develop data-driven marketing strategies based on current market research and trends.
- Help determine the feasibility of new or existing development projects
- Develop and promote initiatives ensuring consistency with the Elim brand and organizational goals
- Ensures all program and service offering of Elim are consistent from a brand perspective
- Works with the marketing team to review and adjust ongoing marketing activities as needed
- Direct input into Life Leases; disclosure documentation, sales, reseal, and pricing
- Actively involved in designing, determine, coordinating, and achieving results with marketing policies, procedures, strategies and their execution.
- Manages all aspects of strategic public and community relations related to marketing such as:
- Media Relations
- Publications
- Advertising
Works with the CEO to establish key public relations strategic goals of ElimProvides input into upcoming construction from a marketing perspectiveBe a positive contributor to senior management team meetings.The salary range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000, along with extended benefits, four weeks of vacation, paid sick time, RRSP employer contribution program, and more.
About You
- 5+ years of marketing and communications experience
- 3+ years of direct team leadership experience in marketing and/or communications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of both internal and external communications, and brand marketing.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, including experience in setting goals, motivating, leading, evaluating and developing a small team of professionals.
- Strong organizational, self-management and collaboration skills to execute cross-functional communication programs to a high standard.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience interacting with senior-level business and community leaders.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Senior Living or Non-profit industries is an asset.
