Job Description:
PMO Strategy and Governance:
- Develop and implement the PMO’s vision, strategy, and objectives to align with organizational priorities.
- Establish project governance frameworks, policies, and metrics to ensure consistency and accountability.
Portfolio and Program Management:
- Drive and oversee project prioritization and resource allocation to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of project and program managers.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define strategic initiatives and success criteria.
- Educate stakeholders on PMO processes and project management benefits.
- Act as a trusted advisor and key communicator to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Project Management:
- Lead high-priority, complex, cross-functional projects critical to the organization’s strategic goals.
- Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate with multiple departments, facilitating communication and conflict resolution.
- Provide leadership to project teams by setting clear goals, roles, and responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant experience in transportation/logistics and asset management with high-growth organizations.
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in establishing and scaling PMOs, with a track record of delivering enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Experience starting up an enterprise-wide PMO capability and leading the organization, from ideation to adoption, through the change required to build a mature project management office.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Monday.com, Smartsheet).
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PGMP, or Agile certifications preferred.
- Builds capacity of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication, and supervision efforts.
- Must be flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing market and Lazer Logistics objectives and goals.
