Job Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Commercial Project Division (CPD) Manager to lead operations in the USA and Canada for a distinguished company specializing in high-performance construction systems. This remote role offers flexibility in location, provided the candidate has accessible travel to a commercial airport. As part of a recognized leader in quality shower systems and innovative backer board solutions, you will work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, engaging in approximately 30% travel, which includes occasional overnight stays and attendance at training events and meetings across various locations, including our headquarters in Batavia, Illinois.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand the Commercial Project Division by collaborating with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Regional Sales Managers, and Technical Sales Support Managers to develop targeted sales plans and architectural strategies.
- Advocate for our products among architects, designers, and contractors to enhance project specifications and ensure effective implementation.
- Design and implement educational programs aimed at architects, contractors, and subcontractors to foster enduring relationships and promote ongoing product specifications.
- Serve as the primary liaison for architectural and engineering partners, providing support and resources to facilitate project success.
- Utilize expertise in waterproofing and tile backer applications to secure product specifications and conduct presentations and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) events.
- Offer accurate project quotations by calculating necessary product types and quantities, presenting quotes, and tracking progress until project completion.
- Regularly engage with our distributor network by providing product training and developing strategies to optimize market reach.
- Utilize lead tracking software and CRM systems to manage project opportunities and report on activity and progress.
- Represent the brand at key industry events, assisting in the creation of impactful promotional materials and exhibits.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in outside or architectural sales, along with supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on managing architectural sales professionals.
- Technical acumen with a solid understanding of architectural specifications and construction design elements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a persuasive approach to building rapport.
- Robust organizational abilities, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and online tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, accompanied by a valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and occasionally lift weights up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years) or higher in a related field.
