E Commerce Specialist | Marathon Hardware | Canada
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the E-Commerce Manager is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in setting strategic direction and optimizing the web performance of products. This individual will act as the bridge between business and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Design the digital product roadmap for customer shopping and the evolution of automated solutions to support e-commerce order processing.
- Oversee and update product selections, collaborating closely with the marketing team to stay aligned with ongoing campaigns.
- Design and plan the frontend and backend of the future of Marathon Hardware’s new website.
- Design the entire Core shopping funnel; website visit, product selection, check out, upsells, and completion of sales.
- Collaborate cross functionally with key stakeholders (sales, marketing, product team, customers) to facilitate decision-making, through collection of information, conveying ideas, and best practices.
- Propose alternative solutions and help identify gaps to enhance the capabilities in our products and online business.
- Engage regularly with users of the product and use feedback from multiple sources to help prioritize roadmap decisions; effectively balance feedback from users with business needs to make the right trade- off decisions and/or recommendations.
- Use information collected to establish organizational preferences and define annual strategic plans.
- Measure success and projected revenue impacts of eCommerce changes through testing and analyzing.
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators and measure success of the core shopping funnel on marathonhardware.com.
- Use analytics to understand how the customer shops and adjust the customer experience accordingly.
- Work alongside with developers in creating, implementing new features, and ensuring seamless execution of ecommerce plan.
- Act as a system SME, understand how stakeholders use these systems and provide vision and assistance to teams to get the most from the capabilities.
- Proactively identify changes in the business, technology, B2B landscape.
- Build business cases using competitive analysis, market and customer research.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in e-commerce
- Ability to develop effective cross-organization relationships, collaborating and communicating across businesses and stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in web development/ project management.
- Excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
- Ability to take initiative and self-direct while managing and prioritizing time effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with A/B and testing methodologies to support data-driven decisions
- Proficient in software: Adobe (Adobe Suite, Google Suite, Microsoft office, Pimcore (Bonus)
- Preferably living around Mississauga area.
This is a remote position, but occasional in-office attendance may be required for team meetings.
