Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of sophisticated Full Stack applications, ensuring they meet high standards of scalability, performance, and security.
- Act as a hands-on technical guide for both internal and external development teams.
- Engage in the ongoing enhancement of our application portfolio and associated services.
- Keep abreast of evolving technology trends, especially within SaaS, cloud computing, and DevOps, to propose and execute innovative solutions.
- Develop strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency while delivering tangible business value.
- Identify and resolve complex software challenges, delivering sustainable technical solutions.
- Advocate for API-centric development, facilitating integration with mid-office applications and external partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive project success.
- Adhere to best practices and software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards for consistent software delivery.
- Oversee and sustain eCommerce applications, ensuring stability, security, and user satisfaction.
- Design applications with high availability utilizing multi-tier cloud architecture.
- Ensure smooth integration with third-party services and APIs.
- Mentor and cultivate junior engineers, promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
- Conduct comprehensive testing to guarantee application quality and resolve identified issues.
- Implement effective security measures to protect customer data and transactions.
- Produce and update technical documentation, including system architecture and APIs.
- Continuously monitor system performance and enhance application responsiveness.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications and address issues promptly.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 8 years of practical experience in designing and developing intricate Full Stack applications.
- Proven capability in managing eCommerce platforms and applications.
- Strong experience with content management systems (CMS), commerce platforms, and headless architecture principles.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python (Django, Flask), along with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools including GitOps, Jenkins, Maven, and JIRA.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, with a preference for hands-on database development.
- Prior experience with the Vtex eCommerce platform and Nosto (eCommerce personalization) is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
