Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a data-driven editorial strategy for our websites, products, and publications.
- Establish clear editorial objectives and direction, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Oversee content budgeting to ensure efficient resource allocation in line with financial targets.
- Represent the editorial team in executive meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to achieve company objectives.
- Manage the editorial calendar to guarantee timely and relevant content delivery.
- Create, curate, and edit articles, features, blogs, and various editorial content.
- Foster and maintain relationships with writers, instructors, and contributors to ensure a constant flow of quality content.
- Engage in social media and video production initiatives, including scriptwriting for YouTube content.
- Guarantee that all content is pertinent, accurate, and meets the needs of the national urban planning audience.
- Remain updated on the latest trends and advancements in the urban planning domain to ensure engaging and timely content.
- Lead and mentor the editorial team, including editors and video producers, to meet deadlines and produce high-caliber work.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with team members to review progress and align priorities.
Required Skills
- Over five years of relevant editorial experience, ideally in urban planning, journalism, or communications.
- Strong proficiency in editing and writing, with a background in digital media and content creation.
- Proven success in fostering the growth of digital platforms or websites.
- Proficient in content management systems, SEO strategies, and analytical tools.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and project management capabilities.
- Experience managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Notion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A commitment to continuous learning and business development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant editorial experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in editorial leadership and management.
- Proven track record in enhancing digital platforms and elevating content quality.

- Competitive salary range: (70k – )115k, based on experience.
