Electrical Workshop Engineer

£37,000 – £40,000 + Overtime (1.4x – 2.0)

Annual company bonus up to 8%

Days Mon – Fri 8.00am – 5.00pm

What would I be doing as an Electrical Workshop Engineer?

* Carrying out daily workshop duties building bespoke machinery and equipment including assembly and testing of components

* Goods in inspection and goods out packaging and crating / palletising

* Producing assembly kits for production

* Carrying out installations of machines into customers premises, commissioning machines

* Training operators on the machinery on customer premises when required

* Breakdown assistance at customer premises and remote assistance to customers of components and equipment. (rarely)

* Provide feedback to design engineers for improvements and modifications and any updates to drawings.

The qualifications and experience required to be an Electrical Workshop Engineer…?

* Time served or other relevant qualification within Electrical Engineering

* Experience working with heavy plant / industrial machinery

* A background within the food manufacturing or packaging industry would be advantageous for this role

* Proven experience reading and working from technical drawings to troubleshoot and repair faults

* Electrically biased with sound mechanical knowledge

* A Team player with a willingness to learn and undertake further training where required
