Job Title: Email Security and Microsoft 365 Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Email Security and Microsoft 365 Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of email security principles, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing Proofpoint email security solutions. Additionally, proficiency in configuring and optimizing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain email security solutions using Proofpoint to protect against phishing, malware, and other email-borne threats.
• Configure and manage Proofpoint policies, rules, and filters to ensure effective email protection and compliance with organizational policies.
• Monitor email security metrics and performance, proactively identifying and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Proofpoint with other security solutions and Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance related to email security and Microsoft 365 services.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in email security, Microsoft 365 administration, and cloud computing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operations, with specific expertise in email security and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing email security solutions using Proofpoint or similar email security platforms.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
• Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, DKIM, DMARC) and email security best practices.
• Ability to analyze and interpret email security logs and reports to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Proofpoint Certified Systems Administrator (PCSA) or Proofpoint Certified Email Security Administrator (CESA).
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent Microsoft 365 certification.
• Experience with other email security solutions (e.g., Cisco Email Security, Mimecast) and cloud-based security platforms.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) related to email security and data protection.
