Embedded Software Engineer – Japanese

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software for construction machinery systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in embedded systems development and a deep understanding of control systems and real-time applications within the construction machinery domain.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement embedded software for construction machinery systems.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to define software requirements and specifications.
• Develop control system software for construction machinery components, including sensors, actuators, and control units.
• Optimize software for performance, reliability, and scalability in real-time embedded systems.
• Conduct debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Implement communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, or Modbus) for integration with other machinery systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support system integration and testing processes.
• Document software designs, test procedures, and user manuals for maintenance and updates.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Proven expertise in the construction machinery domain, including working on control systems, hydraulics, or automation systems.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and scripting (Python is a plus).
• Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
• Experience with communication protocols (CAN, J1939, LIN, or Modbus).
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, DSPs, or ARM-based processors.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and emulators.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Design (MBD) tools like MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Language Proficiency:

Japanese Communication level proficiency is appreciated.

Japanese Language (N3 level or above) is a plus.
