This role works closely with our customers in the EMEA region for the commercial, government and defence sectors for regional strategy creation and implementation, product promotion and technical problem-solving for all AvComm products. Primary responsibility is to provide business development and technical support for Radio Test and Synthetic and modular products. The candidate should also be able to present Avionics and PNT products in support of regional efficiency but will not be the primary point of contact for these products. The role supports PLM management, regional sales and business development teams in growing strategic opportunities across both our existing and future customer base.
- Work with EMEA sales channel and product line management personnel to promote designated AvComm products.
- Identify and create new sales opportunities, programs, and projects for designated AvComm products and services within the EMEA region. Primary focus will be on Radio Test and Synthetic and Modular products.
- Provide technical and product marketing assistance to Regional Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Distributors, and Customers.
- Promote products by participating in industry technical meetings and trade shows.
- Provide product demonstration and training to customers – expertise required for primary products and must be capable of demonstrating all AvComm products.
- Visit customers for on-site support and pre/post-sales as required.
- Provide both hardware and software demo/support for AvComm equipment to customers in EMEA region.
- Work closely with regional sales, technical teams, and US factory teams to resolve technical issues.
- Be a first point of contact for customers via email/phone.
- Build and maintain close relationships with key customers.
- Provide product roadmap inputs and feedback on potential new functionality and growth opportunities.
- Assist with other tasks associated with running of the AvComm business. Including product marketing, submitting product development ideas, regional technical assistance (possibly outside EMEA), etc.
- BS degree required in Telecommunication/Computer/Electronics engineering from a recognized institution. Advantage level of technical knowledge of Radio Test and Synthetic and Modular products as well as overall RF know-how. Advanced technical degree desired.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development / marketing role desired.
- Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in Synthetic and Modular and/or PNT related industry. Knowledge of the region’s applicable customers businesses and organizations and their personnel.
- Proven ability in pre-sales and post-sales support. Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. Able to logically analyse technical issues and determine potential causes and solutions.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and an ability to work independently; must be customer-oriented and a team player.
- Must be able to drive country specific initiatives in a matrix organization.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English. Additional languages desired.
- Must be willing to travel frequently (Minimum of 50%).
