Emea Senior Program Manager | CodeAnalytiqa Consultancy and Services | Netherlands
The EMEA Workstream Program Manager will report directly to the EMEA Program Manager and indirectly to the Director, ICU IT PMO and will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and tracking of a program of multiple specific short-term inter-related (EMEA Smiths Medical Integration) projects, each of which have a beginning, an end, and specified deliverables. Work shall be performed in accordance with the ICU Project Management Framework (PMF) and its defined phases.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plan the Program
· Define the scope of the program and its several projects in collaboration with senior management in Europe and the US
· Potentially working with a team of project managers, create a detailed work plan that identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the program; frequently will directly serve as one of the program’s project managers.
· Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the program by project
· Develop a schedule of schedules for program completion that effectively allocates required resources
· Review the program and project schedules with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by project activities; ensure revision of the schedules as required
· Determine the objectives, benefits, and measures upon which the overall program and its several projects will be evaluated at completion
Staff the Projects
· In consultation with other managers, recruit and select staff with appropriate skills for project activities
· Contract qualified consultants to work on the program/projects, as appropriate
Implement the Program/Projects
· Ensure the execution of the program according to the approved project plan(s)
· Complete/develop forms and records to document project activities
· Set up files to ensure that all program/project information is appropriately documented and secured
· Monitor the progress of the program and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the program/projects
· Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including appropriate staff, in the organization on the progress of the program
· Review the quality of the work completed with the project teams on a regular basis to ensure that all meet project and corporate standards
· May also serve as a project manager; individual projects may have non-coincidental start/end dates
Control the Program/Projects
· Develop roll-up reports on the program for management and for stakeholders
· Monitor budgeted program expenditures by project
· Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
· Manage all program funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
· Ensure that all financial records for the program are up to date
Evaluate the Program/Projects
· Ensure that project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality
· Evaluate the outcomes of the program and projects during required post-mortems
· Perform lessons learned analyses to apply to the management of similar workstreams in other geographic areas
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
· Strong knowledge of Project and Program Management methodologies and how to apply them
· Familiar with manufacturing processes and equipment and/or financial systems desired
· Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize key business objectives and respond quickly to changing priorities
Ability to work in a potentially geographically-dispersed remote/hybrid team environment
Ability to positively influence people required
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in multiple languages highly desired
Proficient in simple accounting and data base management
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
Minimum 7-10 years of planning and/or management experience required
PgMP, PMP, or equivalent Certification highly desired; CSM/ACP desired
Experience with Oracle EBS R12 is required (Hybrid environment – some cloud, some on-premise)
Experience with Supply Chain Management (Order Management and Pricing, or Material and Logistics Management), or Financial Management systems, or Demand Planning required (at least one of)
Experience in Enterprise or Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planview, SmartSheet) desired
Experience managing full-life cycle IT Applications development desired
Experience working in a waterfall systems development lifecycle methodology required
Experience working in a (hybrid) agile development lifecycle desired
Experience managing merger and acquisition through integration projects desired
Experience working in a regulated environment desired; FDA regulated environment preferred
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Travel Requirements
· Typically requires travel 10-20% of the time
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
· Program Managers may be required to work some evenings and weekends to meet project milestones.
· This is largely an in-office, sedentary role.
· This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The execution of a program/project may sometimes require work in non-standard work places.
Working location preferably in Poland, Germany or The Netherlands, but can be expanded to EU.
