About the Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of projects within the water industry. Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders, you will ensure that all bids and tenders are both technically and commercially viable. Key Responsibilities
• Develop detailed cost estimates for water-related projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare
comprehensive bid proposals.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project scope and cost.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Identify potential risks and provide cost-effective solutions to mitigate them.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, market trends, and pricing.
• Attend client meetings and presentations to discuss bids and proposals as required.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in estimating. Experience in the water industry is advantageous but not essential. Key attributes include:
• Experience: A background in estimating, ideally within the construction, utilities, or water sectors.
• Skills: Strong analytical and numerical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Communication: Effective interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• IT Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel to different office locations (North Wales, Lancashire, and South Birmingham) and occasional client sites.
• Education: Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related field are desirable but not mandatory.
