Our client is actively seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and oversee the Western European Network team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives in line with their strategy, fostering key client relationships alongside the Network team, and driving revenue growth across Western Europe.
This role is instrumental in not only expanding their market presence but also in cultivating a high-performance sales team that will propel the company to new heights in the competitive landscape of Western Europe.
Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organisational goals to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key partners across Europe, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Using existing prospective data, creating and ensuring the execution of individual sales campaigns for each Business Development Manager.
- Monitoring and reporting on sales productivity.
- Reporting and monitoring of current and new business progress and productivity by team member and country.
- Oversee the delivery of expected margin growth by achieving agreed individual and team targets / KPIs.
- Consistent monitoring, on a country-by-country basis, of the financial performance of the Western European Network team portfolios.
- Provide strong leadership to the field-sales team, setting clear expectations, and fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
- Participate in the recruitment process.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
- Set and monitor performance metrics, conducting regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and implementing improvement plans when necessary.
- Implement motivational initiatives and recognition programs to inspire the team and celebrate individual and collective successes.
- Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless collaboration and achieve overall business objectives.
- Act as the central point of contact for all cross-functional collaboration between the Network team and the wider business
Candidate Requirements
- Has quantifiable experience gained in an equivalent role, with experience in the road transport industry being a bonus.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English, with fluency in French and/or German.
- Has a full, clean driving license with willingness to undertake European-wide travel and overnight stays where required.
- Valid passport that allows travel across Europe and to the UK when required – ID Cards are not permissible for entry to the UK.
- A degree in a Business Management field or the equivalent would be a bonus but is not critical.

- Strong negotiation skills are essential for closing deals, securing partnerships, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes for the company and clients.
- A focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets, coupled with a commitment to measuring and improving key performance indicators.
