In this role as Event Manager you’ll report to the Head of Marketing & Communications Belux, and will be a member of our growing marketing team in Belgium & Luxembourg. You’ll be based in the Diegem office in Belgium.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

• Organizing physical/remote quarterly Management Update meetings for the company or specific unit by liaising with different supporting function heads and business owners.
  
• Leading and organizing yearly employee events for 2000+ employees in collaboration with different teams and suppliers to foster employee engagement and team bonding.
  
• Organizing yearly Business Update meetings by liaising with business and supporting function SPOCs of a dedicated unit.
  
• Supporting the internal Marcom team in Belux with quarterly organization of partner marketing events with our technology partners such as SAP, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Outsystems, etc.
  
• Providing on-demand 360° event/marketing support to different teams (CSR, practice, HR, sales, marketing, etc.) upon request to elevate the event experience.
  
• Defining and streamlining the event management process at Capgemini/Sogeti in Belgium and Luxembourg.
  
• Supporting the marketing team with various internal/external marketing & event projects.
  

In a nutshell, in this role, you’ll be the SPOC for a variety of internal/external events, in support of the marketing team, the different units, practices, functional heads and business stakeholders. This position will give you a lot of variety and freedom to make an impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

To thrive in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A minimum of 3-5+ years of event/marketing management experience , preferably within an international organization or event agency , demonstrating a strong grasp of event management/project/marketing management tactics.
  
• An exceptional “can-do” mentality and the ability to make agile decisions and take prompt actions by adapting quickly to evolving situations and demands .
  
• Strong leadership and influencing skills which are essential for influencing and inspiring teams.
  
• Exceptional English language skills , both in written and spoken communication, as you’ll be working in an international context.
  
• Excellent “out of the box” thinking and communication/project management skills coupled with a high level of creativity to bring new ideas to the table.
  
• A proactive, assertive, and well-organized approach to event management.
  
• Team player who’s able to support the needs of different teams in a timely and professional manner.
  
• A Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing or Business , providing a solid foundation of event management and project management.
  
• Ability to work with event agencies or previously worked at event agencies is a plus.
  
• Leadership experience is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of Dutch/French is a plus.
  
• Overall marketing knowledge or past marketing experience is a plus.
