Job Title: Business Development Manager – Fleet Mobility & EV Charging
Location: Portugal – remote with travel to client/office.
Salary: €40k – €65k OTE (including bonus & company car)
Position Overview:
Our confidential client is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of EV solutions and fleet decarbonisation across Portugal. In this strategic role, you will drive key partnerships and support the adoption of zero-emission solutions within corporate and public fleets, focusing on the Portuguese EV market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Identify growth opportunities in “gestão de frotas” (fleet management) and “mobilidade elétrica” (electric mobility) for sustainable transport.
- Client Engagement: Develop relationships with fleet operators, OEMs, government agencies, and “empresas de transporte” (transport companies) to address the needs of the Portuguese market.
- Sales & Partnerships: Lead sales negotiations, establish strategic partnerships, and collaborate with Portuguese and European partners to support fleet decarbonisation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal product, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure EV and fleet solutions align with market demands.
- Market Representation: Represent our client at industry events, trade shows, and conferences across Portugal, increasing brand visibility and showcasing EV solutions.
- Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel throughout Portugal to meet with clients, stakeholders, and potential partners to build and maintain strong business relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in “gestão de mobilidade” (mobility management), business development, or B2B sales, ideally in EV infrastructure or fleet mobility.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of “mobilidade sustentável” (sustainable mobility) and fleet operations.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop key partnerships in Portugal.
- Analytical & Strategic: Skilled in market analysis and strategy development for fleet electrification.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Portuguese and English required. – Proficient English language abilities to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of fleet and transport regulations and incentives for zero-emission fleets.
- Familiarity with fleet telematics and digital “gestão de veículos” (vehicle management) tools.
