Control Risks is seeking a Security Design Project Manager to help our client advance its executive protection design program, including the development and application of security systems and security standards for any location utilized by client’s executive team members. The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge in security risk management, security design, security technology, and project delivery processes.

This position will help the client develop and implement security technologies and plans to fit within the executive protection program, ensuring the safety of executives in their offices, as well as residential homes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical design, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing security system plans to support the client’s executive protection program including, but not limited to: Access Control Measures; CCTV Cameras; Creation of safe rooms.
• Implementing project plans to be used by multiple cross functional teams as they implement executive protection security designs.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand and implement the client’s physical security standards in executive locations.
• Provide recommendations for security enhancements based on risk levels, in accordance with the program’s risk-based methodology.
• Create technical documentation to drive forward any changes to the security design in reaction to risk assessments done on location.
• Concisely articulate the impact of identified risks and appropriate mitigation measures for non-technical audiences and senior client stakeholders.

The base salary range for this position in DC is $135,000-145,000. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided in compliance with D.C. Law 25-138.

• Bachelor’s degree in a security related field w/ 7+ years of experience in technical and/or physical security design.
• Experience working in residential security.
• Knowledge of and experience with technical security design management.
• Understanding of operational security including guard force management and implementation.
• Ability to work with high level stakeholders and earn trust in a short amount of time to provide security upgrades to residential locations.
• Ability to develop a project management process to be followed by security and non-security professionals during project implementation.
• Experience with security project management.
• Knowledge of CPTED standards.
• Experience with communicating technical information to technical, non-technical and senior-level personnel.
• Relevant professional registration(s) and/or certifications.
