Factory Operations Consultant (Remote)

We are currently seeking a senior and experienced Factory Operations Consultant to join a confectionery manufacturing client in Pakistan. This is a consulting role for up to 1 year, requiring expertise in compliance, cost optimization, and industry certifications. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining operations and ensuring adherence to international standards.

Responsibilities:

• Review, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety, quality, and operational standards, including ISO certifications relevant to the confectionery industry.
• Lead initiatives to secure and maintain industry-specific certifications.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in production and recommend actionable improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new processes and technology.
• Provide regular reports and updates to management on progress and performance metrics.
• Train and mentor local staff to sustain improvements post-consultation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the food or confectionery manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in ISO standards and other industry certifications.
• Proven track record in cost-reduction strategies and process optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Willingness to work on-site in Pakistan for the duration of the engagement.
