Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and driven FDOT Survey Project Manager to join our esteemed Survey Team in Tampa, FL. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about surveying and dedicated to advancing transportation initiatives. As a Survey Project Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and directing surveying operations across a diverse range of municipal and transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate, select, and implement standard surveying methods and procedures, utilizing your expertise to adapt techniques for FDOT and other transportation initiatives.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee intricate phases of surveying tasks, whether as part of a broader project or as independent assignments of moderate complexity.
  • Conduct boundary analyses for extensive land surveys, encompassing corridor, route, and sectionalized surveys.
  • Facilitate client communications throughout the entirety of projects, ensuring alignment from inception to completion.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of surveyors, technicians, and support personnel engaged in specific survey assignments.
  • Review, seal, and manage all pertinent professional surveying documentation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure project success.

Required Skills

  • Active licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, or the capability to acquire licensure within 12 months.
  • A minimum of five years of office experience in DOT projects.
  • Strong technical competencies, particularly in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Extensive experience in Right-of-Way mapping is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing surveying activities, particularly in municipal and transportation settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
