    This is an existing role reporting into Business Management – Lead, Australia who is based in Sydney.

    The role has four primary components:

    1. Managing a team of 10 interviewers that is responsible for conducting approximately 2,500 interviews annually with senior finance professionals/executives across 12 separate market research programs.
    2. Managing the database of respondents (more than 10,000 names).
    3. Migrating the existing database (called ACT!) across to Salesforce (2025 only).
    4. Managing respondent relationships.

     

    1. Field manager
    • Working with the Research Manager to finalise the contact lists for each program prior to the start of fielding.
    • Allocating interviewer team resources in line with the demands of each program.
    • Working with the Director to finalise the renumeration structure for each program. 
    • Drafting interviewer contracts and ensuring all contracts are signed prior to fielding.
    • Ensuring all interviewers have in place all necessary hardware and software requirements. 
    • Conducting a pre-fielding briefing session (with Research Manager/analysts) to ensure the interviewer team is fully prepared for each program, covering administrative processes, questionnaire changes, software/hardware issues, respondent management issues.
    • Managing the interviewing process (generally 8-10 weeks per program).  Providing weekly status updates to Research Manager/Director and issuing periodic Opens/Refusals lists. 
    • Conducting a post-fielding briefing session (with Research Manager/analysts) to garner feedback on what worked/what didn’t, respondent feedback, IT issues etc
    • Managing interviewer invoicing.
    • Providing recommendations for year-end interviewer bonuses     
    • Managing the process of hiring and training new interviewers 

    2. Database manager

    • Managing all aspects of the respondent database.
    • Providing a range of EXCEL reports from the database to support program management.   
    • Training staff on using the database. 

     3. Migration of existing database (2025 only)

    • Working with the Business Management Lead and IT support, you will be responsible for the migration of the old database (called ACT!) across to Salesforce.
    • Tasks include scoping the specific requirements the business requires, ensuring these requirements can be met with the new system, managing the data migration, and ensuring that all reporting requirements can be met.

    4. Managing respondent relations

    • Managing the issuance of respondent summaries and compensation benchmarking reports to respondents.
    • Answering queries to ensure we maintain strong relationships with respondents.
