Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) specializing in Time & Frequency technology products. This role is pivotal in providing technical expertise, solutions, and support to customers across various industries, including broadcast, telecommunications, defence, aerospace, power, and utilities. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales teams, and R&D to ensure the optimal use and integration of time and frequency solutions into customer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for time & frequency technology products.
• Assist customers with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of time and frequency equipment.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and prospects.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, providing prompt and effective resolution of any issues.
• Work closely with the R&D and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and help drive product improvements.
• Provide training and technical documentation to customers and internal teams.
• Participate in trade shows, technical seminars, and industry conferences to showcase the company’s technology.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and assist customers in maintaining regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Field Application Engineer or in a related technical support role, with a focus on Time & Frequency technology.
• In-depth knowledge of timing and synchronization technologies, including GPS/GNSS systems, NTP/PTP, and oscillators.
• Experience in at least one of the target industries (Broadcast, Telecoms, Defence, Aerospace, Power & Utilities).
• Familiarity with hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Proficiency in English is required; Japanese language skills are a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience with GNSS Synchronised Servers, atomic clocks, network time servers, or frequency standards.
• Familiarity with RF technologies and network protocols.
• Experience in project management or customer training.
