Field Marketing Specialist | Tembusu Partners | Malaysia

A pioneering K-pop training academy based in Singapore, backed by a renowned Korean entertainment company, is seeking a proactive and dynamic Field Marketing Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in marketing and recruitment to promote our academy and drive student enrollment. Reporting into the Marketing Director, this role will be pivotal in building relationships within the community, engaging potential students, and executing marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience across Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the Malaysian market.

This role will be remote and based in Malaysia, with domestic and overseas travel opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy Implementation: Assist the Marketing Director in developing and executing targeted marketing campaigns to promote SM Universe Academy’s programs, highlighting K-pop training opportunities.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local schools, dance studios, and K-pop communities to enhance brand visibility and generate student interest.
  • Recruitment Initiatives: Conduct outreach initiatives, including informational workshops, school visits, and community events, to attract potential students and engage parents.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute promotional events, workshops, and open houses to provide prospective students with insights into the academy’s offerings.
  • Social Media and Owned Channel Management: Create engaging content for our owned channels, including the website and social media platforms, and manage online interactions to foster community engagement.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and audience preferences to inform recruitment strategies and marketing efforts.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on recruitment metrics and and campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in marketing, recruitment, or community engagement, preferably within the education or entertainment sectors.
  • Strong understanding of K-pop culture and its audience within Malaysia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing successful marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a self-starter attitude and a results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot, Mailchimp, Brevo) and data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Fluency in English and Malay; proficiency in Korean is a plus.
