    About the Role

    We are on the hunt for a talented Finance and Administrative professional to play a key role in our exciting journey. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business, both internally and externally, to ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting. You will lead a team of 9 and provide support and guidance to your direct reports, ensuring that all financial processes are executed efficiently and accurately. While this role does require some days in the office, there is flexibility to work remotely as well, allowing for a heathly work-life balance.

    • provide support to the project teams to ensure all financial or commercial issues and risks are identified and managed
    • be responsible for the accurate & timely reporting of financial performance including profitability, cash flow, and R&O
    • commit to mentoring and developing members of your team in alignment with the support that will be given to you by your manager and other members of senior management in the finance team
    • be an inclusive leader who can maintain and further enhance the culture of collaboration and togetherness within our Transport team


    About You

    To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong understanding of Project Accounting principles (qualified by either degree or experience.) Having a solid project accounting background, you will ideally have a roads or transport background. But essentially you will have operated in financial/ accounting role in the construction industry, with vast exposure to relevant accounting techniques, estimates, and project completion. Along with:

    • Proven experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
    • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management
    • Strong leader who has a continuous improvement mindset
    • Systems savvy – SAP and/ Power BI experience is an advantage
    • Track record of developing financial acumen in team members and non-finance staff
    • Ability to lead change in challenging circumstances
    • Exceptionally organized, detail-focused, and efficient, with a knack for resourcefulness, strong follow-through, and a drive to turn ideas into action
    • Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with staff and management across all levels
    • Superb written and verbal communication
