Financial Analyst (Remote)

What You’ll Do

• Reconciliations of processing and bank statements across a wide range of processors, payment methods, and banks.
• Identify, report, and remediate financial risks.
• Make forecasting models and projections.
• Occasional customer contact to help with financial reporting, settlement calculations, and other finance related questions from merchants.
• Work with external parties to ensure quality of data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure good reporting.
• You may also function as product owner for all things related to financial reporting in our systems, including merchant settlement report calculations, and internal reporting.
• Report directly to the CEO, with potential to advance to a Finance Manager role and beyond.

Whom We’re Looking For

• At least three years of relevant professional experience in ecommerce, financial services, or related areas.
• Relevant degree and professional certifications.
• Problem-solving and a communicative mindset. 
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.
• Strong command of Excel and/or Google Sheets. Experience with PowerBI, SQL, and similar tools and databases is considered a plus.
• Experience with payment processing, crypto currencies, and alternative payment methods considered a plus.
• Although the role is remote/home-based, you must be a Canadian resident and either a Canadian citizen or otherwise have all necessary authorisations to work in Canada. No visa sponsorship is offered.

What We Offer

• Salary range: 60,000—90,000 CAD/year, depending on experience.
• 30 days paid vacation per year (plus public holidays).
