Financial Operations Manager (Remote)

Jitera is a Japanese start-up that specializes in developing software to automate the creation of mobile and web applications. Our cutting-edge product falls under the categories of No-Code, Low-Code, and code generation. By utilizing our product, customers can accelerate their software development process by up to 10x times, and our ultimate goal is to achieve a 100x improvement.

While we are still in the development phase, we have successfully increased the number of applications developed with our product, with some projects already completed 10x times faster than the industry standard. Our team consists of remote professionals who have achieved remarkable growth in terms of revenue, product development, and team expansion over the past year.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. This role will play a critical part in managing our financial operations, collaborating with outsourced accounting firms, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and optimizing our financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, experience in back-office operations, and the ability to implement company-wide operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate closely with outsourced accounting firms to manage bookkeeping, tax filings, and financial statements.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
• Develop and implement streamlined financial processes and procedures across the organization to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the establishment of company-wide operating procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices.
• Utilize advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills to analyze financial data, create models, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Support debt /equity fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in financial operations, with a strong background in accounting and back-office operations.
• CPA or other professional certification is preferred but not required.
• Expertise in financial reporting and the ability to work with financial data.
• High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with strong analytical skills.
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment.
• Fluency in Japanese and English is a must, both written and spoken.

Reporting Line

This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with flexibility depending on the candidate’s background and the company’s evolving needs.
