After Class is dedicated to transforming how teenagers and parents discover and participate in extracurricular activities. Our platform makes it easy to explore a wide range of activities, promoting personal growth and well-being. As we work towards launching our MVP and preparing for fundraising, we’re looking for a hands-on Founding Engineer to join our team and help bring our vision to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop Core Features: Lead the development of our mobile app using React Native, JavaScript, and Node.js, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
• Backend Integration: Work on integrating backend services and APIs, ensuring smooth operations between the app and the provider dashboard.
• Optimize and Secure: Focus on performance optimization and security, implementing best practices to ensure our app is reliable and safe for all users.
• Collaborate with Design: Work closely with our UX/UI designer to implement new features and deliver a top-notch user experience.
• Mentor Junior Developers: Share your technical expertise with junior developers, helping them grow and contribute to the success of the team.

What You Bring:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior React Native Developer with strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and mobile app development.
• Backend Brilliance: Extensive experience with backend services and API integration.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code like a pro.
• Passion for Impact: A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of teens through technology.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Equity Ownership: As a founding engineer, you’ll receive equity, giving you a real stake in the company’s success.

Please Note:

This role is equity-based, meaning compensation will be in the form of equity shares in the company rather than a traditional salary to start. This offers you the opportunity to share in the success and growth of After Class as we move forward.
