We’re pre-revenue but backed by a strong product roadmap and market opportunity.

As we approach our MVP launch, we are seeking a passionate Founding Engineer to join our core team and take ownership of building the technical infrastructure, including our AI systems, backend architecture, and integrations. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the fast-paced environment of an early-stage startup and is excited to shape the future of AI in the recruitment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI System Development: Design, build, and deploy AI-driven conversational systems, leveraging LLMs and psychometric testing for recruitment and onboarding.
• Backend Engineering: Architect and develop the backend infrastructure in Python, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Integration & CRM: Lead the integration of Rekbot with popular CRM/onboarding tools like Bullhorn, Hubspot, or custom recruitment SaaS solutions.
• Product Development: Work closely with the CEO, product manager, and UI/UX teams to shape product features and enhancements, from concept to deployment.
• Scalability & Performance: Ensure the technical stack is scalable for the growth we envision, with a keen eye for optimizing AI-driven interactions and integrations.
• Team Leadership: As a founding member, you will have the opportunity to grow and lead a technical team, establishing best practices for engineering and code quality.
• Innovation: Bring innovative AI and machine learning solutions into Rekbot’s core functionality to improve the recruiter and user experience.
• Figure Sh*t Out: Be the go-to problem solver who can navigate ambiguity, and take ownership of figuring things out with minimal guidance—whether it’s technical challenges or working alongside a non-techie co-founder who dreams big.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role, ideally in a SaaS startup or AI/ML-focused company, preferable experience will be in the CRM, HR Tech arena.
• Proven experience with Python, especially in building backend systems and AI-driven products.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face) and LLMs for real-time, interactive applications.
• Hands-on experience with CRM, onboarding, or HR tech tools and integrations.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Self-starter attitude with a desire to be a part of a fast-moving, pre-revenue startup, contributing to strategic discussions and technical direction.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus:

• Experience working with recruitment technologies or tools.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Node.js, or similar).
• Prior experience in gamification, psychometric testing, or e-learning platforms.
