About the job

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and high-agency founding engineer to join our team at youe. You excel in building scalable applications using Next.js, React.js, React Native, Python, and Django. Your expertise covers web and mobile development, cloud infrastructure with Azure DevOps and Kubernetes, and database optimisation using MongoDB and Redis. You’re adept at publishing mobile apps to Android and iOS, and setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Docker. Your ability to make critical architectural decisions and rapidly prototype features is crucial. We need someone ready to work intensively in a fast-paced startup environment, helping shape our product strategy as we strive for product-market fit. You Will

• Architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable full-stack applications using Next.js, React.js, React Native, Python, and Django.
• Make critical architectural decisions for both web and mobile apps.
• Lead the development of RESTful APIs and integrate with various backend services.
• Implement and optimise database solutions using MongoDB and Redis.
• Set up and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure DevOps and Kubernetes.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Docker.
• Develop and publish cross-platform mobile applications for both Android and iOS.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to rapidly prototype and iterate on features.
• Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Optimise application performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Be part of planning core product roadmap and strategy with the founders.

You Have

• Proven industry experience in full-stack development, with a strong portfolio of shipped products.
• High-level proficiency in Next.js, React.js, React Native, Python, and Django.
• Deep understanding of mobile app architecture and experience in publishing apps to Play Store and App Store.
• Strong expertise in working with MongoDB, Redis, and designing efficient database schemas.
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Docker for deployment and CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and implementation.
• Experience in optimising front-end performance and implementing responsive designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues across the stack.
• Excellent understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment to rapidly iterate until product-market fit is achieved.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies as needed.
